Faro Arm
Due to the continuously increasing product quality requirements, MedTec now
offer a global scanning, inspection and reverse engineering service.

Using an advanced portable multi axis measurement arm
from FARO, our technicians can travel all over the world to provide on-site inspections, eliminating the need to
relocate large heavy parts.

Our Mobile Measuring arm is capable of computing the position of its end probe in 3D Space to an
accuracy of 0.005mm. Mated with FARO's CAM2 measure software, the arm is used to record
digitised points, surfaces and profiles too complex for conventional inspection methods.

The digitised data is then converted into solid models using the latest CAD Software Using this mobile measuring technique we are able to provide the following services:

  •     Reverse engineered parts and assemblies for which no drawing exists
  •     Identify necessary amendments where fitting problems may occur
  •     Various engineering data such as rotor stability, weights and centre of gravity quality inspections
  •     Inspection of complex shapes and parts.
