Faro Arm In Use

The faro arm allows measurements to be made in situ, eliminating the cost of transporting large heavy components. Reports concerning the quality of the parts can be produced in the manufacturing environment prior to assembly and if fit problems occur the origin can be immediately detected.

To measure a point the probe is placed on the measurement position. Highly accurate
shaft encoders allow the arm to compute the position of the probe at any time in 3D space.
